About Me

Hi, I'm Selena! I grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and am currently in my fourth year at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Communication Arts and minoring in Criminal Justice. I have a passion for traditional media art and have been interested in forensic science and true crime ever since I first learned about Ted Bundy. Finding a way to combine these two passions of mine is what I'm working towards right now.

When I was about 10, I began to create a chronological collection of horse drawings organized by breed which in turn sparked my lifelong dedication to art. After middle school, I applied to and was accepted into the VAC(Visual Arts Center) at Albert Einstein High School, where I spent the next 4 years of my life learning alongside the wonderful teachers Ms Walsh and Ms Harris. I knew I wanted to continue studying art after high school, which is what brought me to VCUArts.

Outside of art and true crime, I love dancing,  playing videogames, baking sweet treats, working on my car, going to concerts, and traveling the world. I no doubt would pick horse as my spirit animal, and my favorite color is purple- periwinkle to be exact.
